| In 2002 we upgraded to an different method for our engraving. We had been machine engraving. We had a few complaints regarding the quality of the machine engraving. We always felt this machine engraving process and its result to be too impersonal (especially on an item that a person will wear for a lifetime). So it was time to change and improve our engraving. | |||

| We found a retired Master Jeweler who stunningly “hand engraves” absolutely beautifully. That is the Good News. Secondly, we found a retired Master Jeweler who stunningly “hand engraves” absolutely beautifully. That is the Bad News. Excuse our humor, but you just do not “hurry him up!” A skilled 40 year--bench craftsman, he engraves almost as a labor of love, not for the money. It can add as much as a week to fulfillment. So far every Customer’s engraving using him, has resulted in engraving that our Customers have returned feed back such as “personal”, “beautiful”, “perfect for what we wanted” etc etc. We also now charge a flat fees (see below). | |||

Adding Engraving to your order |
|||
|
We make it very simple to customize or engrave
one of our items: 1) add the ring(s) and/or band(s) you wish to purchase to your shopping cart. 2) add the engraving charge for each item you want engraved 3) proceed through the secure process and “check out”. 4) you will be taken to a “Thank You” page. An automatic confirmation e-mail is being generated at that point that will not have your custom request information. It will have the basic information regarding your order. (Note, there will also be an “Order Number” assigned at that point). It greatly assists us in servicing your order, from that point on, if you begin to use your Order Number in your “Subject” line for all e-mail. 5) at the bottom of the “Thank You” page, there is a “PRIORITY” button to e-mail us. E-mail from there is handled before everything else. 6) let us know exactly what you want engraved in one of the following hand engraved styles: ----- Script Style ----- Block Style ----- Italicized Style 7) We will acknowledge your custom request to engrave your item. We will e-mail that acknowledgement to you, so that you have written documentation for your records. 8) Due to its individual unique nature, once engraved, an item does not comply with our 30 day return guarantee. |

For you J.R.R. Tolkien fans (author of Lord of
the Rings saga)
In 2002 a new Customer asked us to engrave
his 2 bands using a font called "Tengwar
Quenya". The "Elvish" alphabet, font and language is based upon the works of J.R.R.
Tolkien (basically called "Elvish" letters or runes).
Even the little marks that go above the characters (called "tehta")
actually represent vowel sounds and cannot be left out. Engraving in Elvish has become a popular option. We have come a long way in this expertise and crafting since the original 2 bands in 2002. It is fun and interesting to view the various creations we have crafted for our customers. To view all the variations and options, click on an y image above for details. It costs nothing to look. And even though this type of engraving is not for everybody, it is very unique and interesting, plus it demonstrates our work. |
