  • This guarantee includes all domestic and APO/FPO orders.
  • This guarantee does not apply to international orders (please see "International" below).
  • This guarantee also includes orders canceled in process when a certified diamond has been ordered (see below)

When making your purchase decision, ask your other source(s) if they will give you a 100% refund for their engagement rings.  Some establishments offer an "in-store" credit or partial credit and refund for their engagement rings.
We want you to be pleased with your RingDesigner.com purchase.  Since we use only higher quality certified diamonds and engagement rings, most likely you will not be returning the item for quality reasons.  That is why we instituted our 100% no hassle refund policy.  If you are not satisfied with the purchase for any reason, of one of our engagement rings, anniversary rings or wedding bands just follow the guidelines below.
Here are the guidelines:
Your refund will be credited to the credit card originally charged to purchase your ring.
Since we sell fine high quality jewelry, we need to take steps to combat fraud.  Therefore, you will need to follow exactly the steps outlined below to receive your refund.
If within 30 days of receipt of your product, and decide to return it for a refund, then please:
  • E-mail us at  customer_service@ringdesigner.com  to receive your authorized return code. Please write this authorized return code on the original RingDesigner.com Product Certificate of Authenticity that shipped with your ring. The original RingDesigner.com Product Certificate of Authenticity must be included in the returned purchase if it was provided in your original package.   In many cases it is provided electronically as an Adobe Acrobat PDF file via e-mail. 
  • Secure all merchandise in its original packaging, including the gift box(es) with which your order was shipped and all accompanying materials. We cannot accept merchandise that is not returned to us as instructed.
  • The package should be addressed to:
    • RDcom Customer Service (do not want contents to be easily identified by the addressing)

  • We recommend you ship via a means where you will receive back a documented verification of receipt by RingDesigner.com. This process "tracks" the shipment and documents the actual shipment by you and the receipt (by date & time) by RingDesigner.com.  We also recommend you request  notification of receipt service via your shipment service.  This process notifies you that we received it.  There are several methods of shipping that "track" the shipment.  FedEx, the US Postal Service, UPS and others offer this service. 
  • Please insure the package for the full amount of the purchase price with the shipping service. Check your Homeowner's or Renter's insurance policy.  Many cover your items while in shipment.   United Parcel Service offers insurance for the packages shipped via them. UPS now has retail outlets that pack and ship right from there.  Locations are available at www.ups.com. FedEx insures jewelry ONLY up to $500.   The United States Post Office offers insurance and tracking.
  • A RingDesigner.com employee will open your "sealed" package in the presence of an independent third party, certified gemologist.  In this manner, an independent party verifies the ring and diamond received by RingDesigner.com, in your sealed package, match the quality and specifications of your original purchase.  After immediate examination by the independent third party gemologist, if there are any issues of quality, damage or diamond specifications, versus your original purchase, we will contact you immediately.  The received  jewelry  and/or diamonds must be the same items as you originally received from us, plus in the same excellent condition as originally received. 

    We use PGL (Pacific Gemological Laboratory, Inc.  web site: (Click Here) PGL web site, an independent, third party certified, GIA appraiser, located in downtown Portland.  We apologize for this inconvenience, but we have learned the hard way, we need to verify what is said to be sent, is equal to what is received.  Three customers, not just one, forced us by their shipments to add this step to sending a diamond or a ring back to us.

  • We will send an e-mail notification that we have received your returned merchandise.  That way you have documentation for your records.
     
  • A full 100% refund will be issued within forty five days of confirmation of receipt of your item to our address.  Your refund will not be made immediately.
     
  • Your refund MUST be credited to the credit card originally accepted.  Your refund can not be credited to another credit card due to VISA, MC, Discover and AMEX rules.
     
  • We do not refund for any shipping you incur, as well as we do not charge the customer for the shipping we incurred originally to send your item.
  • Please note: We cannot accept returns for international orders (see below).  For questions regarding international purchases, please E-mail us at  customer_service@ringdesigner.com  
Orders that are canceled prior to delivery with a certified center diamond

The above refund policy also applies to orders that are canceled prior to delivery when a certified center diamond is a competent in the order.   We know things can change, relationships might take different routes etc etc.   We will of course refund 100% of the order, but having secured a certified diamond, refunding is not instantaneous.  When notified of a cancellation prior to delivery, RingDesigner.com will acknowledge notification of the cancellation and assign an authorized return code  for the customer.
 

 When a customer orders a certified center diamond as part of their order, RingDesigner.com will wire cash from funds to secure the customer's exact certified diamond.  As documented in e-mails to the customer acknowledge their initial order, the customer is aware of the situation.   Therefore, acting as the customer's agent, having obtained ownership of the customer's diamond, RingDesigner.com must attempt get a refund of it's funds from the Israeli diamond supplier or if already received on site, attempt to resell the customer's diamond.  Bottom-line, this means it may take up to 45 days to refund an order where the diamond has been secured for a customer, and the customer cancels the order at any point in the fulfillment process.  RingDesigner.com will make every effort to refund a quickly as possible up to a maximum of 45 days.

Exceptions to our return policy
Note: Any type of modification or alteration made to your RingDesigner.com purchase not performed by RingDesigner.com voids all warranties on workmanship and materials.
We cannot accept returns for engagement rings, anniversary rings or wedding bands that have been worn, resized, engraved or damaged; it must be in its original, new condition in the same packaging with all original documentation provided 
 
 
Custom Rings
Being a specific request, due to the very distinctive nature of custom design, we cannot accept any returns of our custom work.  However, our number one goal is your complete satisfaction!
Engraving (inside or external surfaces)
Due to its individual unique nature, once engraved, an item is not returnable.
International
We cannot accept any returns International orders. 

Exceptions may be granted on a case by case basis.

Proof of international duties and taxes
being initially paid, must be provided in all cases.
